pro No contracts required
con
Cons
con Price hikes after one year
con $5 monthly Wi-Fi fee

Pretty much everyone in El Paso has access to Spectrum’s fast cable internet. You can get speeds ranging between 300Mbps and 1,000Mbps, which means you can find a good option for basically whatever sized household you have. Spectrum hikes up its prices after the first year of service, but it’s not too steep of a price hike, and you can always try calling customer service to bargain for a deal.

You can save some money by bundling your internet with Spectrum’s cell phone and live TV service. Chances are, you’re already paying for a cell phone service and TV plan, so you may as well make your life easier and get all those services under one umbrella to save a few bucks.

Best Spectrum internet plan for most people: Spectrum Internet Ultra, 500Mbps for $69.99/mo.

We recommend taking the Goldilocks approach and opting for an internet plan right in the middle. With 500Mbps internet speeds, you can easily support a household of three-to-four people.

T-Mobile 5G Home Internet: Ideal for cable cutters

Cons
con Good-but-not-great speeds
con Fluctuating connection at times

T-Mobile 5G Home Internet is the answer for living the complete cable-cutter lifestyle. You don’t need fiber or cable connections set up at your house–you just need an outlet and wireless coverage to get a Wi-Fi signal at your house. It only took us about five minutes to set up T-Mobile 5G Home Internet when we had the opportunity to test out the service.

Internet speeds max out 245Mbps with 5G home internet, which can’t compete with the top speeds offered from cable and fiber internet providers. But smaller households can still make it work just fine. It helps that T-Mobile has excellent coverage in the El Paso area, which means you should get the fastest possible internet speeds.

Best T-Mobile Home Internet plan for most people: $50 home internet: 72–245Mbps for $50.00/mo.

T-Mobile’s 5G internet plan costs a flat $50 a month—but you cut that price down by $20 a month off that price if you sign up for a qualifying T-Mobile cell phone plan along with it.

AT&T Internet: Best fiber internet

AT&T Internet pros and cons

pro
Pros
pro Affordable fiber plans
pro No data caps for fiber
pro Included equipment costs
con
Cons
con Data caps with non-fiber plans
con Not much fiber availability

AT&T fiber internet isn’t as widely available as Spectrum or T-Mobile 5G Home Internet, but it’s your best bet for fast internet speeds in El Paso. If your neighborhood has a fiber internet setup, it’s a no-brainer considering AT&T’s fair prices and generous terms as well.

AT&T fiber plans start at 300Mbps and can go up to multi-gigabit speeds. What’s most impressive about fiber internet is that you get symmetrical speeds, meaning your download speeds and upload speeds are the same. In other words, you should have no problem streaming a Cowboys game in one room while your roommate (or kids) livestream their latest video game session on Twitch.

Best AT&T internet plan for most people: AT&T Internet 1000, 1,000Mbps for $80.00/mo.]

The gigabit plan from AT&T fiber costs $80 a month, which costs only $30 a month more than T-Mobile 5G, but offers more than double the performance. You can get your bill even lower if you bundle your AT&T internet plan with an AT&T cell phone plan as well. With both services combined, you save $20 a month compared to what you would pay for each of those AT&T services individually.
